Breakfast in Bed for the Birthday girl!
Mackenzie was excited to share cupcakes with her classmates on her birthday.
Make a WISH Mack-a-doo!
Mackenzie danced her heart away with friends and cousins. She had a WONDERFUL birthday celebration.
Happy 6th Birthday
Carowinds
Eric took some time off work so we could spend some time together as a family. It was great fun!
Mackenzie with Snoopy.
Won't be long before Caroline really is driving Mackenzie around. They enjoyed pretending they were in the car by themselves.
Eric had fun on the bumper cars.
One of many rides that the kids enjoyed while at Carowinds. The boys rode several roller coasters, but the girls opted for icecream. My favorite ride was the family tube/raft and the log ride. It was SO nice to just hang out & play all day.
Baseball 2010
Scott's been the most consistent player on his team. We've really enjoyed watching him play baseball. He's been pitching a couple of innings most games, else playing 1st base quite a bit. He's really enjoying baseball.
Caroline is doing GREAT with softball this season. She hasn't played since kindergarten, so it's been a nice surprise to see her hitting so consistently and fielding quite well too. She's a fast runner and enjoys the game.
I love this picture of Caroline going in the dugout to give Mackenzie some advice before she bats. Sisters are great!
Mackenzie: warming up for her 1st game on Opening Day. This is her first year playing softball. The girls play against boys, so their team motto is "Girls Rule, Boys Drool!" She just LOVES it!
Atlantic Beach NC
Scott stayed busy digging in the sand. I took the kids to the beach over track-out, as Eric's been working long hours. Candice & Collin were on Spring Break, so they joined us too. We had a great time... wonderful weather! Ends up my camera was on video, so I only got 1 picture, but lots of 1 second videos.
Easter Joys
Track-out FUN
The kids found (and caught) 3 lizards while doing yard work: Billy, Lillie & Bob.
My little cowgirl: Mackenzie LOVES to play dress-up!
GUESS WHO? Caroline was a HOOT in this curly red Ariel wig.
The children are always thrilled to track out. The afternoon of track-out, they pulled out Easter decor from the attic. By the evening, they had pulled out dress-up bins from the attic & had a BLAST dressing up and playing together. With the nice weather, they've been pitching in with chores & yard work, even washed the car... it's been GREAT! They love the great outdoors & helped plant potatoes & mint in the garden. I'm sure we'll have more fun working and playing together in the coming days and weeks.
